Midfielder, Thamsanqa Sangweni has officially left AmaZulu Football Club after a deal for his services was finalized with his new club Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday, 22 May 2012.

The 23 year old Empangeni born player had approached the club requesting to join a club of his choice during the January transfer window but was advised by the head coach to stay and allow the club to find him a club at the end of the season.

“He has undergone a fitness test and has joined Sundowns after agreeing personal terms with the player,” said General Manager, Peter O’Connor.

On loan goal keeper and U23 international Nhlanhla ‘Casillas’ Khuzwayo will be joining Kaizer Chiefs in the new season after spending a successful loan spell with KZN, NFD side Thanda Royal Zulu.

“Seeing that Kapini has another three years with us, it was agreed that we would release Casillas because he wouldn’t be playing as the first choice goal keeper. So to enable him to get more game time we have decided to allow him to join Chiefs after they had approached us for his services,” added O’Connor.

Khuzwayo had two more seasons left on his contract.

                                   Terminated contracts

In other news, the contracts of leftback Moses Chavula and striker, Stanton Lewis have been terminated after agreement between the club and players.
