AmaZulu FC strength and conditioning coach Joshua Smith has joined the South African senior national team camp.
Bafana Bafana are currently preparing for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualification Group D match against Burkina Faso.
The crucial encounter is scheduled to take place at the iconic FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday afternoon.
Smith was part of the South Africa technical team as the sports scientist at the 2017 COSAFA Cup in the North West Province.
The experienced sports scientist also worked with Bafana players during South Africa’s 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifying campaign.
He has worked for Kaizer Chiefs, SuperSport United and Turkish side Genclerbirligi alongside current Bafana head coach Stuart Baxter.
Smith, who is a former Durban High School student, is not the only one representing Usuthu in the Bafana camp.
Newly appointed AmaZulu sports masseur Rendani Manuku is also part of the South Africa technical team.
