AmaZulu players Tapelo Nyongo, Vukile Mngqibisa, Augustine Ramphele, Sbongiseni Mthembu and Phumlani Gumede were invited to a joint community upliftment initiative between SAPS and Adams Spar in Eshowe on 16 July.
The players mingled with the community during the function which was put together to try and keep the youth on the straight and narrow.
Store Manager, Gary Cope said of the visit: “Our Spar team played an SAPS team comprising of youngters that we are trying to take off the streets through sports. It was a great experience for everyone to have the AmaZulu players.”
The Usuthu group also invited the locals to the Zululand Extravaganza which will see them take on Bloemfontein Celtic, Mbabane Swallows and local District squad in the Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup on 30 July in Ulundi. The Gumba Fest will be held from 28 – 29 July.Share
