Usuthu take aim at SuperSport

AmaZulu FC will host SuperSport United in the DStv Premiership match at the Kings Park Stadium on Tuesday.

Kick-off is at 17h00 CAT.

Usuthu claimed a fourth win from their last five league matches when they secured a 2-1 away win over Kaizer Chiefs on February 17.

Augustine Mulenga and Lehlohonolo Majoro netted for the KwaZulu-Natal giants, who also extended their unbeaten run to seven matches in the league.

AmaZulu have claimed 15 points from nine home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a thrilling 4-3 win over Bloemfontein Celtic in early February.

Meanwhile, SuperSport played to a second successive draw in the league when they were held 1-1 at home by Orlando Pirates on February 24.

Matsatsantsa’s equalizing goal came from an own goal by Pirates midfielder Ben Motshwari.

Matsatsantsa have claimed 13 points from eight away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 1-1 draw at Kaizer Chiefs earlier in February.

In head-to-head stats, SuperSport and AmaZulu have met in 47 league matches since 1990.

Matsatsantsa have claimed 22 wins compared to 15 for Usuthu, while 10 matches have been drawn.

The Durban side has won 11 of their 24 home league matches against the Tshwane club, suffering eight defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, at Lucas Moripe Stadium in January 2021, they played out a 1-1 draw, with goals from Bradley Grobler and Siphelele Mthembu.
