AmaZulu defender Alan Robertson is making progress from his injuries ahead of the upcoming 2016/17 National First National (NFD) season.
Robertson has been recovering from hip and hamstring injuries during pre-season, while his Usuthu team-mates are busy preparing for the new campaign.
“I am recovering from a hip injury and I also had a hamstring injury. Both injuries are healing well and my recovery is well on track,” Robertson told AmaZulufc.net.
The 22-year-old promising central defender joined AmaZulu from University of Pretoria ahead of the 2015/16 campaign.
He went on to make 17 NFD appearances for Usuthu during his first season with the club – starting 16 matches in the process.
However, Robertson is unhappy with the fact that he could not help the Durban-based club clinch promotion to the Absa Premiership.
“I think I did well personally in my first season. But the team did not achieve it’s objective which was to gain promotion. So it was not a good season at all.”
