Usuthu look to return winning ways against Galaxy

AmaZulu FC will take on TS Galaxy in the DStv Premiership match at the Kings Park Stadium on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 17h00 CAT.

Usuthu were held to a 0-0 draw by Mamelodi Sundowns in their most recent league game which was played at Kings Park Stadium on April 21.

The result saw the KwaZulu-Natal giants extend their unbeaten run to 13 matches in the league, but their six-game winning run came to an end.

Usuthu have claimed 22 points from 12 home matches this season, with the draw against ‘Downs the first time they have dropped points as hosts since mid-January.

Meanwhile, Galaxy suffered a 2-0 defeat to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila in their last league game which was played at the Mbombela Stadium on April 10.

It was the Rockets’ suffered a third successive league loss and their last win was at home to Black Leopards in early March.

The Rockets have claimed 12 points from 11 away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 2-1 loss at Bloemfontein Celtic earlier this month.

In head-to-head stats, AmaZulu and Galaxy have met in one previous top-flight league match.

That encounter took place earlier this season, with the Rockets winning 1-0 at Mbombela Stadium in October 2020, with a strike from Wayde Lekay.
