Usuthu look to bounce back in Cape Town

AmaZulu FC will travel to the Cape Town Stadium where they will take on Cape Town City in an Absa Premiership match on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 19h30 CAT.

Usuthu were beaten 3-0 by the defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns at home in their previous league match which was played on January 4.

The KwaZulu-Natal giants have taken eight points from as many away matches this season and they are 14th on the league standings.

Meanwhile, City defeated Baroka FC 1-0 at home in their previous league match which was played on January 5.

The Citizens have claimed 11 points from eight home matches this term and they are 11th on the league standings.

In head-to-head stats, AmaZulu and City have met in five previous top-flight league matches.

Usuthu have claimed three wins compared to two for the Citizens, with zero draws in the rivalry thus far.

The Cape side, however, has a 100 percent home record with two wins from as many matches as hosts.

When the teams met earlier this season, at King Zwelithini Stadium in October 2019, AmaZulu claimed a 2-1 home win thanks to a brace from striker Bonginkosi Ntuli.

It was Usuthu’s first league win of the 2019/20 campaign.
