Usuthu eye second successive win against Baroka

AmaZulu FC will travel to the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium where they are scheduled to face Baroka FC in an Absa Premiership match on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.

Usuthu returned to winning ways by defeating SuperSport United 2-0 at home on April 24, courtesy of goals from Bonginkosi Ntuli and Somila Ntsundwana.

The KwaZulu-Natal giants have claimed 10 points from 13 away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 1-1 draw at derby rivals Golden Arrows in mid-April.

AmaZulu are placed 11th on the league standings – three points above the relegation play-off spot (15th place).

Meanwhile, Baroka held Free State Stars to a 2-2 away from home on April 24 with Collins Makgaka and Lawrence Ntshwane scoring for the visitors.

Bakgaga have claimed nine points from 13 home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 2-1 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns on April 20.

The Limpopo side are placed 14th on the league standings – a point above the relegation play-off spot.

In head-to-head stats, Baroka and AmaZulu have met in three league matches since 2017/18.

Both clubs have managed a win apiece, while one game was drawn.

When the teams met earlier this season, at King Zwelithini Stadium in August 2018, AmaZulu claimed a 1-0 home win thanks to a goal from Siyethemba Sithebe.
