AmaZulu’s in-form midfielder, Andile Khumalo, says the KZN club took a bag full of positives from the midweek 1-1 draw against Black Leopards, which will be useful as they prepare for Bidvest Wits this Sunday.
Usuthu’s next match is against 7th placed Bidvest Wits at the Moses Mabhida Stadium at 15:30 and will be new coach Craig Rosslee’s first home fixture.
“I believe we will do well in front of our home crowd since the coach arrived. He is still instilling his own style in us but I feel we can be successful because his instructions are quite close to the modern style of football we know,” said Khumalo.
The Newcastle born man recently got on the score sheet against Sundowns in November, but believes more should be done to score goals.
“There are a lot of positives to take from the Black Leopards game and the past ones despite the results.
“Looking back to Wednesday, it was a 50/50 match but Leopards used the home advantage very well. We were still able to contain them.
“I think we should really play like we’re at home against Wits and then everything will come together because our supporters will be behind us,” said Khumalo.
