AmaZulu have started their second week of training as they look to get their house in order before playing their first official match of 2014.
Usuthu will host Orlando Pirates in an Absa Premiership encounter at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Thursday, January 23.
The players were put through their paces last week following the brief Christmas break and will now look to concentrate more on technical and tactical work.
Craig Rosslee’s side are also set to face local rivals Lamontville Golden Arrows in what should be a competitive friendly match on Saturday.
When the two sides met in a league encounter recently it was Usuthu who prevailed 3-0 at the King Zwelithini Stadium to claim the points and the bragging rights.
It was one of the more balanced performances for the club this season as they scored three goals and also managed to keep a clean sheet.
After conceding four goals in their last match of 2013 against Kaizer Chiefs, Usuthu will look to use this friendly encounter to put their defence to the test against a determined Arrows side.Share
