After an unfortunate start to the season with injuries soon after signing for AmaZulu, Alan Robertson has resumed training with the team.
After missing the first three games of the National First Division season, Robertson said that he is recovering well and looking forward to making his debut soon.
“It has been a bit of a blow for me to sustain an injury and missing out I crucial first matches. I have now returned on training with the team and I feel that I am reaching my full fitness levels, “said Robertson.
The former University of Pretoria player is aware of the competition within the team especially given that he hasn’t played a game since last season.
“Honestly speaking it won’t be easy to just crack into the first team. The guys have been doing well and I must work hard and wait for my opportunity.
“We have been hard at work and we need to ensure that we get back to our winning ways. We have what it takes to finish well at the end of the season,” Robertson said.
As the team gears up to take on African Warriors in Free State on Saturday, the defender said they will have to dig deeper and hopes to be on the bench.
“I am hoping to be on the bench and will take it from there. This is an important match for us as we lost our previous one. It would be good to make my debut,” he said.
Other players who might miss out over the weekend are Linda Bhengu and Thabo Moloi.Share
