AmaZulu FC striker Mabhuthi Khenyeza has praised the team spirit which exists in the club.
The veteran forward played the entire match as Usuthu secured a 2-1 win over Free State Stars in an Absa Premiership match last weekend.
Khenyeza combined well with his new club team-mate Emiliano Tade upfront during an encounter which was played at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.
The 36-year-old marksman is pleased with KwaZulu-Natal giants’ teamwork.
“The team spirit is very high and no one is bigger than anyone in the team,” Khenyeza said.
“We are all equal in the team and we always make jokes. We also try to push the young boys to continue working hard for the team.
Stars took an early lead when AmaZulu captain Mbongeni Gumede scored an own goal.
However, Usuthu fought back in the second-half and they grabbed two goals through Tade, and Mhlengi Cele.
“We also love singing together and fighting (for positive results) as a team,” the experienced player concluded.
Usuthu’s next Absa Premiership match will be against Bidvest Wits at the Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday, August 29.
Kick-off is at 19h30.Share
