Fernhill training camp update

Head coach Manqoba Mngqithi speaks to AmaZulufc.net about the decision to move his squad away from the comfort of the Durban weather conditions as he prepares for the 2011/12 season.

The Fernhill training camp this week culminated in training friendlies with Maritzburg-based local clubs coupled with daily hard training in the wee hours of the morning.

“Generally the aim of the camp was to overload the players with tough training so as to make them stronger psychologically. Training two sessions per day based on those lines because we’re going to have tough fixtures.

Then next week we will be polishing out some tactical aspects,” said ‘TV’.

The next stop for ‘Usuthu’ is a few days’ camp which will be held in Richards Bay where the coach wishes to use to further test his squad against Thanda Royal Zulu in a friendly match, before both sides meet in the KZN Premier’s Cup at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday, 31th.
