Building a Strong Side: Madida

AmaZulu assistant coach and former highly ranked striker Fani Madida has advised against jumping into singing the praises of ‘Usuthu’ youngsters.

Many might see it as a good sign when youngsters score on debut but not the Newcastle born coach.
“You can’t really predict these things, I’m a realist,” he said jokingly repeating the words of the successful Real Madrid Coach, Jose Mourihno.
I don’t think we should rush into rating the guys, they are going to get there and after five games perhaps we can talk.
It’s all about building a strong side so let’s give them a chance for now.”
Strikers Ayanda ‘Cobra’ Dlamini’s brace and Lehlohonolo ‘Major’ Majoro’s league debut goal kick-started AmaZulu’s season with a bang at this very venue.
But it will not matter what happened against Maritzburg United and in previous meetings with the visitors. Swallows come with renewed confidence of their own having started well in the MTN 8 Wafa Wafa by knocking out Supersport United
AmaZulu remain without left-back Marc van Heerden who will seat out the rest of September as he attempts to get to back to full recovery from a long term knee injury.
