AmaZulu coach Steve Barker has expressed that he will not stop working hard despite the 3-0 defeat against Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday at the Free State Stadium.
Although AmaZulu started the match on high intensity, they ended up losing the game by a big margin.
“We are disappointed about what transpired on Sunday after all the hard work and effort that we have put in and showed during the week.
“We will never stop working hard and believing on what can be possible. As a team we need to work together, show unity and pull together. The only thing we can do to bring our confidence is to win our next match,” said Barker.
A red card, a penalty and an own goal were some of the setbacks for AmaZulu and Baker believes that it is important at this point in time to work together as a team and also be able to channel the emotions in the right direction.
“It’s difficult to find positives when you get beaten like this but there are one or two players that showed character.
“We need to channel our emotions to the right direction. There will be obstacles in front of us but we need to stand up and fight. It’s not going to be easy especially in the position we are at.
“Our mental approach to our next game is crucial – we need to find a way to win our next couple of matches,” said Barker.Share
