AmaZulu coach Steve Barker remains confident that they will stay in the Absa Premiership despite a 3-1 defeat against SuperSport United.
Usuthu now prepare to take on University of Pretoria in a match that Barker said is a must win and they have no choice except winning and getting the three points.
“We failed the first objective and we must get the full points against Tuks. We have no choice but to win.
“I still firmly believe that the last six points can still see us through and we can still advance through goal difference.
“We have to do what needs to be done. It is never easy to win back to back so we need to have a special moment in the season,” said Barker.
Speaking about the players losing their temper and showing signs of disappointment he said he would be more worried had they not shown that because it hurts to lose in this time.
“I would be more worried if the players were not emotionally engaged and just went to the change room and accepted the defeat.
“There are emotions running high; we are all fighting for our lives but we need to step up and stand up on Wednesday.
“Going to the Tuks match we need to be flexible and positive, have players in the bench that can be able to come in see us through.”Share
