AmaZulu FC star Butholezwe Ncube has revealed that he would like to win trophies during his time in South Africa.
The Zimbabwe international has been on the books of Usuthu since 2016 having joined the club from Zimbabwean side Tsholotsho FC.
Ncube, who is a defensive midfielder by trade, has netted three goals in 58 appearances in the Absa Premiership thus far.
“I am happy about my performance as it all starts at training and behind the scenes,” Ncube said.
“Then l put all that hard work on match day and without my teammates, family, friends, and our supporters, I am nothing.
“All thanks to them and thanks to almighty God, who always gives me strength every day, and for the talent he gave me.”
Ncube played 25 matches for AmaZulu in his debut season (2016/17) in South Africa which was in the National First Division (NFD).
The 28-year-old player, who represented Zimbabwe at the 2019 COSAFA Cup, is very ambitious as he is targeting trophies with Usuthu.
“l still want to do more for the team. l would be glad and blessed if l win trophies with Usuthu,” he continued.
“Now that I am coming back from an [ankle] injury l will make sure that I perform well for the team. I would like to win the league (Absa Premiership), MTN8, and Telkom Knockout Cup.”
Known for his ability to break attacks with ease, Ncube is keen to establish himself as one of the top players in the PSL and on the African continent.
“l will keep grinding for more and l want to be one of the best players in the PSL and amongst Africa’s best,” he concluded.Share
