AmaZulu held by Warriors at home

AmaZulu were held to a goalless stalemate by African Warriors in an National First Division (NFD) game which was played at the Princess Magogo Stadium in Durban on Sunday.

The draw left Usuthu placed eighth on the NFD standings, while Warriors remained at the bottom of the league table.

The home side began the league encounter brightly keeping the Warriors defence busy as they looked to grab an early goal .

Nkayiso Zungu and Petrus Shitembi were looking lively for Usuthu, but the visitors managed to contain them until the referee blew the half-time whistle.

Veteran forward Siyabonga Nomvethe was introduced by caretaker coach Delron Buckley in the second-half as AmaZulu looked to break the deadlock.

However, Warrior stood firm at the back in the dying minutes and ultimately, the match ended in a goalless draw, and two sides shared the spoils.
