10 April 10, 2021 AmaZulu Football Club President, Mr. Sandile Zungu has paid tribute to fallen former radio heroine, Dr. Sindisiwe van Zyl after it was officially announced that the former Kaya FM host passed away on Saturday morning due to Covid-19 related complications.
“Dr. Sindi was truly a beacon of hope and love and used her extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of medicine to touch the lives of thousands of South Africans who benefited from her qualifications and insight,” said Zungu.
“She used every platform she was given, including her time at Kaya FM as well as her personal platforms on social media to educate, inspire and impart HIV-related, mental health and various other medical information that affect our communities to many South Africans who have benefited from her selflessness.”
“Dr. Sindi will always be remembered for her work and the impact she made to everyday South African who were blessed to listen and read her work on various media platforms and channels,” concluded the AmaZulu President.
Dr. Sindi was 45-years old at the time of her death after being diagnosed with Covid-19 earlier this year. Her media portfolio further comprised of a Columnist role for Health24 and Bona Magazine. She had also made guest appearances on popular telenovela 7de Laan where she used every opportunity to share medical related content.
