Two goals in the second half by Nkanyiso Zungu and Goodman Dlamini saw AmaZulu walking away with the full three points on Sunday against Cape Town All Stars at Athlone Stadium.
AmaZulu proved to be mentality fit and more determined as they beat National First Division log leaders Cape Town All Stars away from home.
Coming into this match the KwaZulu-Natal side knew that they had to dig deep to take on the fancied All Stars.
With Robyn Johannes not being available it was the Bafana Bafana international Marc Van Heerden who got the arm band and led the team.
In the first half both teams looked solid and no goals came through.
In the second half coach Steve Barker made a first substitution as he brought South African Under-17 Dylan Stoffels in place of Malusi Mseleku.
The youngster came on and changed the game with his energy and his basic solid passes.
In the 77minute Stoffels displayed a great pass to Zungu who made no mistake and netted the first goal for Usuthu, 1-0.
In the dying minutes of the match Goodman Dlamini, who had been searching for goals, finally registered his name on the scoresheet as he gave Usuthu a 2-0 victory.Share
