AmaZulu assistant coach, Fani Madida believes the week long break and friendly matches played have been enough to equip the Durban club ahead of the next league match against Maritzburg United away at Harry Gwala Stadium.
“The match against Thanda on the weekend was to enable us to give competitive game time to the players and I thought it was helpful in that respect.
They will be fitter and much sharper going into the important league matches and we all know we need to do better against Maritzburg United and not disappoint our fans,” said Madida.
On Saturday AmaZulu and Thanda played a goalless draw in front of a pumped up Richards Bay crowd which the assistant coach described as a satisfactory outcome.
Although still not able to field foreign new signings in Mkhokheli Dube and Dulee Johnson and a blow on captain, Tapuwa Kapini due to an ankle injury, Madida says the Usuthu faithful can be assured of a strong side that can grab all three points on Tuesday evening.
