AmaZulu’s Zimbabwean midfielder, Ramson Zhuwawo, is optimistic that Usuthu can turn the corner at the expense of high flying Moroka Swallows at this at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday night.
“It’s another new challenge altogether, we’re hoping that by playing in Umlazi we’re going to get the results because we’ve done well here before,” said Zhuwawo.
“I think Moroka Swallows are still going to be the same team that we played against in the cup. They will be motivated to come and try and do something knowing that they’re on a high after winning the MTN8.
“We have to remain strong and show that we have the character that saw us finish in the top eight last year.”
Zhuwawo and his Zimbabwean compatriot, Mkhokheli Dube, visited Umlazi’s vibrant Mega City Mall to build up interest for the all-important clash on Wednesday.
The duo know all too well that the eleven men on the field on Wednesday night need to restore fans’ hope in the 80 year old club.
Revellers around the township were pleased to meet the players and urged them to soldier on in their upcoming matches, while the fortunate ones won themselves AmaZulu apparel and tickets for the match.
