Malawian left-back Moses Chavula tells AmaZulufc.net how the recent disappointment of suffering two consecutive defeats will help him prepare for his country’s AFCON qualifying match against Tunisia this weekend.
“It’s painful to lose like that, we didn’t play our normal game of creating chances and converting them but we have learned our lesson.
There is a big difference against Sundowns, we were catching them a lot on the counters but against Stars and Supersport we tried to attack better,” said the former Nathi Lions man.
The 26 year old whose surging runs in the left flank have added spark in coach Manqoba Mngqithi’s team says the only way of getting over the loss will be through improving on their next match.
The KZN club lacked the pre-season rhythm they displayed in preparation tournaments in their three matches. The Malawian international who boasts 69 caps says it is only a matter of time before they start stringing the right tune.
“I respect each and every team we play and they come with a different approach. We just have to improve on our weaknesses for the next match against Jomo Cosmos,” he said.
At country level the Blantyre born player has the tough task of inspiring his country in their quest to advance past Tunisia in their 2012 Afcon Gabon/Equatorial Guinea this weekend.
The 25 year old, is fancying his country’s chances to qualify for next year’s finals. Malawi have the same amount of points with Tunisia.
“It is tough, we have to work hard and make sure we get a win,” said Chavula.
