We can’t do anything about it now: Vukusic

AmaZulu head coach Jozef Vukusic has called on his charges to quickly regroup and not let their 5-0 Telkom Knockout exit deter them in order to prepare for the job at hand in the Absa Premiership.

The match was played at Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium on 20 October 2019.

The 55 year old Serbian tactician did however lament the manner in which his side conceded goals in crucial moments of the game.

‘’There was a lot of pressure from Sundowns in the first half, but I would like to believe that we were okay until we conceded the goal in the 45th minute.’’

‘’I believe that the second and third goal were very soft goals that were unnecessary.’’

‘’There are many areas that we have to work on but it’s okay, we’ll go back and we will learn,” he added.

‘’It was a difficult game, I think we could’ve done better in certain instances, but we can’t do anything about it now.’’

Usuthu debutant, Mario Booysen has to make peace with what transpired at Lucas Masterpiece Moripe Stadium as he scored an unlucky own goal in the 55th minute which stretched the deficit.

The 31 year old defender said he’s now gunning for redemption in their upcoming Absa Premiership fixture against Baroka FC away on 27 October.

‘’We now have to focus on the league, make sure that we get maximum points in the next game and focus on how to move from where we are in the league, “he concluded.

The players must learn to focus on the business of the day.Loosing 5 to 0 is not on for a professional team like Amazulu. Can you imagine in a hotel the staff letting guest use the facilities without collecting payments because they think collecting payments is not the important thing or main focus. Lack of concentration is evil
