Mpumalanga Black Aces are among the two PSL clubs reportedly chasing outbound AmaZulu defender Marc van Heerden.
According to media reports the left-back, also known as ‘Sdumo’, has been linked with a move to Platinum Stars and AmaZayoni are also interested in the player who is keen to stay in the PSL after Usuthu were relegated to the NFD last season.
Information is that that the two teams are currently in talks with the Durban side as well as the player’s agent over a deal that will see him remain in the PSL.
Dikwena have parted ways with Punch Masenamela, who was on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns having joined Polokwane City last week, and Van Heerden is seen as a suitable replacement.
The free-kick specialist has been busy during the off-season break with Bafana Bafana where he helped to set up Thamsanqa Gabhuza’s goal against Mauritius last weekend.
According to Usuthu mentor, Steve Barker, there’s nothing finalised yet regarding the defender’s future with the club still discussing the way forward and will reveal their plans in the coming week.
“Nothing is finalised on our players at the moment, but we will be revealing the future of the players within the next week or so,” said Barker.Share
