The race for the 2017/18 Absa Premiership Golden Boot is well and truly on.
AmaZulu FC forward Rhulani Manzini is amongst players, who are surging into an early lead four months into the campaign.
Polokwane City frontman Rodney Ramagalela is leading the league scoring charts with six goals, while Baroka FC attacker Gift Motupa and Manzini have both scored five goals.
Nine players are currently on three goals with most of the teams having played 10 Absa Premiership matches. Usuthu have a game in hand.
Manzini, who joined Usuthu from Chippa United three months ago, is proving to be a reliable goalscorer for AmaZulu having scored five goals in his last five league matches.
His superb free-kick against Polokwane City at the King Zwelithini Stadium was nominated for the October Absa Premiership Goal of the Month accolade.
The former Platinum Stars frontman was also on the scoresheet for Usuthu as they drew 1-1 with Baroka FC at home in their last league match over a week ago.
Manzini, 29, will be looking to add to his goal tally when AmaZulu face Kaizer Chiefs at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday, 22 November 2017.
The Absa Premiership encounter is scheduled to kick-off at 19h30.Share
