New AmaZulu signing Paul Were Ooko tells AmaZulufc.net that the humour in the camp is helping him find life easy in Durban going into an unpredictable 2014/15 Absa Premiership season.

“It’s going to be a challenge for me because the Kenyan league is totally different from the PSL. I’m ready for whatever will come my way and I’ve got the right support from my new teammates.

“Everybody has been very welcoming and some guys are quite entertaining, and I’ve seen they’re all professionals,” said the 23 year old forward.

Were has some CAF club competition experience under his belt, having played for AFC Leopards in the Confederations Cup and has also turned out for Tusker of Kenya. The Nairobi-born attacker was signed on a three-year deal.

“I can’t wait to play official matches as I believe in myself, and I believe the coaches as well won’t be disappointed for giving me a chance,” he added.

The Usuthu faithful got to witness the skillful left footed player’s abilities at last weekend’s Charity Showdown where the club finished runners up to Bloemfontein Celtic.
