AmaZulu’s Under-17 side will face Bidvest Wits in the opening clash of the Engen Champ of Champs tournament.
The draw for the tournament, which will feature five regional winners plus Gauteng runners-up, was completed in Randburg on Tuesday afternoon.
The inaugural event which will lead to the crowning of a national champion will take place on the weekend of the 10th to 12th of October at the Nike Football Centre in Pimville, Soweto.
The six teams that have made it through to the finals are AmaZulu, Bidvest Wits, African Sports Development, Port Elizabeth Sundowns, Harmony Academy and hosts SuperSport United who also won the Gauteng leg of the event.
“Engen is very proud to be at the forefront of youth football development in the country and it is rewarding for the company to know that six young talented players who have participated in the regional rounds have been called up for national duty to represent the country.” said Brad Bergh, Engen’s Group Sponsorship Manager.
