Usuthu team building a success

Solving mysteries collectively was the theme of the day as players and technical staff of AmaZulu FC took part in a team building exercise at the Escape Hunt Experience in Umhlanga on 13 February.

The Escape hunt experience offered plenty of exciting and challenging tasks which put the player’s mental abilities to the ultimate test.

Usuthu defender, Mbongeni “Shoes” Gumede mentioned how much the team enjoyed the activities throughout the day.

“It was a good day, I believe we were able to bond as guys who play together, with regards to the activities, they were difficult but I believe through teamwork we were able to progress to the other stages.”

Gumede also spoke about how important the team building was to get them in the right frame of mind since the only upcoming match is on the 23 February which provides the team with plenty of time to prepare ahead.

“I think this team building exercise was important as we were able to get our minds off soccer a bit, it was also important as we were able to improve the team spirit within the team , to make it much stronger than it was.”

“I think it also enabled us to be together as a team besides being at training , it’s important for us to form relationships outside playing together, we were also able to get our minds at ease before preparing for the next match which will be a tough one,” concluded the Umlazi born man.

AmaZulu FC will take on Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium on 23 February 2019 at 20:15 followed by a KZN Derby against Maritzburg United on 01 March.
