Usuthu target win over SuperSport United

AmaZulu will look to return to winning ways in the Absa Premiership when they host SuperSport United at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 19h30 CAT.

Usuthu were held to a 1-1 draw by their KwaZulu-Natal rivals Lamontville rivals Golden Arrows away from home on April 14.

They have claimed 23 points from 13 home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 1-0 loss at the hands of Chippa United in early April.

Meanwhile, SuperSport secured a 2-0 away win over Tshwane rivals Mamelodi Sundowns last week.

Matsatsantsa have claimed 19 points from 13 away matches this season and their last three games on the road have all ended in victory.

In head-to-head stats, SuperSport and AmaZulu have met in 43 league matches since 1990.

Matsatsantsa have claimed 20 wins compared to 14 for Usuthu, while nine matches have been drawn.

The Durban side has won 10 of their 22 home league matches against the Tshwane club, suffering seven defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in August 2018, SuperSport claimed a 1-0 home win thanks to a goal from Evans Rusike.
