AmaZulu will lock horns with Mbombela United in the National First Division (NFD) game at the Kanyamazane Stadium in
Nelspruit on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 15h30pm.
Usuthu came back to hold Real Kings to a 2-2 stalemate in their previous league game which was played in Durban last weekend.
Siyabonga Nomvethe hit the back of the net twice for Usuthu in the second-half to ensure that the entertaining encounter ended in a draw.
This was AmaZulu’s second successive draw in the league. They remain winless this year – having recorded three draws and one defeat.
AmaZulu are placed eighth on the league standings with 26 points from 19 matches. They are three points behind third-placed Royal Eagles.
Nomvethe, who has 13 league goals this season, is a player in top form. The 39-year-old forward has the ability to inspire Joey Antipas’ side to victory on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Mbombela were beaten 2-0 by Jomo Cosmos in their previous league game which was played in Brakpan last weekend.
This was Tingwenyama’s fourth defeat in their last five league matches. Since beating Real Kings a fortnight ago, they have recorded two straight defeat.
Mbombela are placed 10th on the league standings with 23 points from 19 matches. They are seven points above the relegation zone.
Clifford Mulenga is Tingwenyama’s key player in attack. The forward, who has 10 league goals this season, will look to help Ashwin Sutton’s side win at home on Saturday.
When AmaZulu and Mbombela met in the league first-round clash, the former emerged 2-0 winners in Durban four months ago.
Zola Jingxi opened the scoring for Usuthu, while Nomvethe sealed the visitors for the home side.Share
