AmaZulu are ready for the final third of the 2018/19 Absa Premiership season.
After 20 games, Usuthu have 23 points and occupy eleventh spot on the log.
Wins against Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City has reignited the team after a challenging start to the year.
Up for next for the Durban side is a clash against Orlando Pirates.
Defender, Tapelo Nyongo says it is important to remain focused with just 10 league games to go
“We just need to keep fighting and try to remain as consistent as possible,” Nyongo said.
“There is not much room left for errors, teams behind us are also picking up points. We have to keep working hard,” Nyongo added.
The 23-year-old scored a stunning free-kick to help AmaZulu defeat the Citizens in Umlazi last weekend.
“I just want to play as much as I can. I am privileged to get game time and it is just about improving game by game,” Nyongo said.
Nyongo has formed a strong partnership at the back with Phumlani Gumede in the second half the season. He says the club’s depth in defence keeps them on their toes.
“We always work on our communication and try to minimise the scoring chances of the opponents. There are also other guys who can slot in at centre-back so if you get a chance you have to take it,” Nyongo explained.Share
