The walk began at 8am where participants walked from Davenport square shopping centre to Bulwer Road, Penzance Road , Esther Roberts Road and back to Davenport square.
It was also the perfect recovery session for Cavin Johnson’s men post their King Zweilithini 1-1 yielding Absa Premiership thriller against Orlando Pirates on Saturday night.
AmaZulu FC goalkeeper coach Davies Phiri reckons that it is very important for people to be aware of how serious cancer is.
“Most people just hear about cancer, very few actually have enough knowledge about the disease,” he said.
Phiri also expressed his joy at being given the opportunity to raise awareness and gain more knowledge whilst at it.
“It is imperative for all of us to learn more so that we will be able to fully support any family member, relative or anyone you know that has cancer,” he concluded.Share
