AmaZulu FC will face off with Highlands Park in the Nedbank Cup round of 32 match at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Friday.

Kick-off is at 8:00 pm.

Usuthu are hoping to return to winning ways as they are winless in their last three matches in the Absa Premiership.

The KwaZulu-Natal giants reached the Last 16 of last season’s Nedbank Cup where they were defeated by Ubuntu Cape Town.

They will be keen to go all the way in this year and reach the final of the lucrative tournament for the second time since 2010.

Cavin Johnson, the AmaZulu head coach, will be looking to lead his charges to victory against Highlands.

Meanwhile, Highlands saw their six-match unbeaten run come to an end when they lost to Sundowns in a league game in midweek.

The Gauteng side are hoping for a better showing in this season’s Nedbank Cup as they were defeated in the round of 32 by Stellenbosch last year.

The Lions of the North managed to reach the final in 1979 when the competition was still known as the Mainstay Cup.

Highlands head coach Owen Da Gama will be eager to guide his side to the Last 16 by masterminding a victory in Durban.

This will be the first-ever Cup meeting between AmaZulu and Highlands in the PSL.
