AmaZulu Head Coach Steve Barker and his team are back at training this week ahead of the imminent start of the 2015/16 football season.
Fresh from a good rest at home, all of the club’s squad members were part of the first day’s training session on Monday at Moses Mabhida Stadium Outer Fields.
According to the 47 year old tactician, the plan this week is to ready the current crop of players for some physical conditioning ahead of the pre-season program.
”We’ve had a long break due to the fact that the NFD season only starts on the 27th of August, but now we’re back.”
“The players were well rested but now we’re ready for whatever challenge lies ahead. We’ll be building on the physical conditioning to get them ready.
“It’s wonderful to see some of the players that were part of the team last season come back as well in the right frame of mind. Hopefully we’ll also be adding a few exciting young players in the team,” said Barker.
A host of pre-season friendlies and tournaments are also in the pipeline to help assess the KZN outfit’s squad ahead of the new season.Share
