Former AmaZulu hard as nails centre back, Sadat Ouro-Akoriko (29) will report to training next week after obtaining his work permit which unlocks his return to the green and white donning Usuthu on a three year deal.
The Togolese international was transferred to Saudi Arabian club, AL Faisaly two seasons ago but returns as a free agent after his last stint with AL-Khaleej.
The Usuthu faithful should welcome the acquisition of exciting Thanda Royal Zulu duo Sduduzo Dlamini (25) and Jabulani Ncobeni (26) as well as Mbombela United ace, Siyethemba Mnguni (24).
In the goalkeeping department AmaBhubesi captain Siyabonga Mbatha (25) completes the package after the KZN born four signed their three year deals respectively.
Dlamini and Ncobeni are from Pietermaritzburg while Mbatha and Mnguni hail from Umlazi and Newcastle respectively.
AmaZulu Head Coach, Joey Antipas said of the KZN born four: “What I’ve noticed about Sdu and JB (Ncobeni) is that they enjoy their training, and they show professionalism like all the players do. We hope they can give as that extra cutting edge in midfield.
“We are obviously glad to finally have Mnguni from Mbombela. Siyabonga did very well with Thanda last season, he was one of the reasons they won the league.
“In the first half of the season they didn’t concede much which you can credit to him and his defense” said Antipas.
