AmaZulu FC Reserves’ mandate to cultivate and produce good players through the Asidlali initiative for the first team continues to be the main focus at the KZN club.
With the first team plagued by injuries to as many as five key players, the MDC is also poised to provide a catalyst to ready some of Cavin Johnson’s men on time before their Absa Premiership home game against Polokwane City on 18 October.
This Saturday, 07 October the Usuthu Reserves face 11th placed Chippa United Reserves at Umlazi’s King Zwelithini Stadium in the talent rich Multichoice Diski Challenge.
Asidlali mentor Ronnie Moroka will be banking on the home support to help inspire his charges to life at the match billed to kick-off at 12pm.
“We are on the right track according to our goal to develop players for the main team”
“The youngsters have been doing well against competitive opponents up to this far, and we’ll continue pushing them to reach their fullest potential with help as well from their senior teammates,” said Moroka.
The AmaZulu FC Reserves will be without key goalkeeper, Mpendulo Dlamini who suffered a knee knock against El La Koto on the weekend.
Chippa United have managed just one win at this year’s campaign and four points while the boys in green and white are yet to notch a win to add to the two points they have collected.Share
