AmaZulu Reserves will be travelling to Limpopo to take on their Baroka FC counterparts in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge this weekend.
Boiki Modisakeng, the team’s captain, says they’re confident of bouncing back following a narrow loss to Stellenbosch FC last week.
“Our finishing in front of goal wasn’t up to standard against Stellenbosch and this is something we have had to work on this week,” he stated. “We know Baroka are a good team and our chances may be limited, so we have to take advantage of them.”
Usuthu were unlucky not to take a point against Stellies, after going down 3-2 at the Princess Magogo Stadium, in KwaMashu, on Sunday.
Modisakeng, who scored a penalty to give the hosts an early lead, says the boys are hungry for another win and will do all they can to ensure they claim three points against Bakgakga.
“We know where we went wrong and we have to improve on those issues,” he added. “We can’t make the same mistakes again because they cost us. The team is looking forward to the game and hopefully we can show that we belong in the top half of the table.”
AmaZulu can leapfrog Baroka and move into ninth place should they win on Saturday.
The match will take place at 10am at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.Share
