Usuthu new signing Mabiliso feels at home

South Africa youth international Sibusiso Mabiliso has expressed his delight after joining AmaZulu FC.

The young defender, who is a former Platinum Stars academy player, signed a long-term deal with Usuthu.

“Well, I want to work hard and help the team win trophies. I am hoping to create history here at AmaZulu,” Mabiliso said.

“I would like to thank everyone in the AmaZulu FC family for welcoming me. They made me feel at home and I will forever be grateful. So I am very happy at the club.

The 18-year-old full-back played for Stars in the Multichoice Diski Challenge (MDC).

“Well, there’s no I in a team. We are a family that motivates and encourages each other. The team spirit is good,” the promising youngster continued.

Mabilisi, who hails from Ledig, Rustenburg in the North West Province, helped South Africa win the 2017 COSAFA Under-20 Championship in Zambia last month.

The former Keledi Middle School student is competing with fellow left-back Simphiwe Mtsweni at Usuthu.

AmaZulu will welcome Chippa United in an Absa Premiership match at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday. Kick-off is at 15h30.
