AmaZulu FC midfielder Micheal Morton is excited about the prospect of returning to action against Kaizer Chiefs after the current FIFA international break.
The 28-year-old, who is on a season-long loan deal from SuperSport United, is back in contention after serving a two-match suspension.
Usuthu will host Amakhosi in an Absa Premiership match which is scheduled to take place at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday, 22 November 2017.
“Yes, I am definitely looking forward to the game against Chiefs,” Morton told AmaZulufc.net.
“It has been an up and down season for me so far.
Morton was red carded during an Absa Premiership match between AmaZulu and Bidvest Wits at the King Zwelithini Stadium two months ago.
Wits forward Frank Mhango spat in the face of Morton, who retaliated and the Usuthu player served his two-match suspension against Platinum Stars and Polokwane City.
However, Morton received an extra two-match ban for shoving Mhango following a ruling by the Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee.
“I came back from suspension (and played against Mamelodi Sundowns), but I got two extra match suspension,” the experienced midfielder added.
“But now that I have completed my suspension, I want to enjoy playing football again and help the team achieve its objectives.”
Morton has made six league appearances for AmaZulu this season – netting once in the process.Share
