AmaZulu Reserves look to get their 2019 Multichoice Diski Shield campaign off to a positive start as they prepare to take on provincial peers Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala stadium on 30 March 2019.
Coach Ayanda Dlamini’s side played a friendly match with the Usuthu’s first team at the Moses Mabhida training grounds on Wednesday morning which yielded a 2-2 draw.
Promising central midfielder, Singabakho Ngema is pleased with how him and his teammates performed in the friendly game and is hopeful it will provide them with indispensable preparation ahead of Saturday’s test.
“I believe that we played well today (Wednesday) as a team , I have faith, and that playing against our peers who are competing at PSL level will help us immensely to be able to compete at our best,” said Ngema.
Usuthu were able to dispatch their rivals in a 2-0 thriller in the Diski Challenge but a different and dangerous United await on Saturday according to the Ulundi born man.
“Judging from the friendly we were able to point out any weaknesses that we may have and I believe that we will rectify them for the upcoming match.”
“I believe that we need to improve in the midfielder and work on our passing technique and the way we convert our chances,” he concluded.Share
