Usuthu looking for first win

AmaZulu will look to break their lean run of form in the Absa Premiership when they host Moroka Swallows at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Wednesday, 26 September 2012, kick-off at 19h30.

AmaZulu have picked up just one point in the league so far this season and suffered a 3-0 defeat away to SuperSport United in their last outing.

The Durban side has yet to register their first goal and will be determined to break that drought in this home match.

Usuthu are placed last on the Absa Premiership with one point from four matches.

Swallows have had an inconsistent start to their league campaign, with two wins and two losses from their first four games.

The Soweto giants suffered a surprise 3-2 home defeat at the hands of newcomers University of Pretoria in their last league outing.

The Birds are placed seventh on the Absa Premiership log with six points from four matches.

In head-to-head stats, AmaZulu and Swallows have met in 46 league matches since 1985.

The Birds have 18 wins compared to 11 for Usuthu, while 17 matches have been drawn.

AmaZulu’s home record against Swallows reads: P23 W7 D8 L8 GF26 GA28.

Last season the Birds took four points off Usuthu, winning 1-0 in Durban before a 1-1 draw in the return game in Soweto.
