AmaZulu will square off with Platinum Stars in the 2017 Nedbank Cup last 32 game at the Moruleng Stadium in Moruleng on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 19h30.

The 2009/2010 Nedbank Cup runners-up overcame Santos in the qualifying round in order to book their place in this round of the competition.

Usuthu registered an impressive 1-0 away victory over Mbombela United in their last National First Division (NFD) game almost a fortnight ago.

Roggert Nyundu was the hero for Usuthu as he hit the back of the net with nine minutes left on the clock and the visitors walked away victories.

The win extended AmaZulu’s undefeated streak to three league games. Before facing Mbombela, they had recorded two straight draws.

Tapelo Nyongo has been inspirational for Usuthu throughout the current campaign. The defender will be looking to lead Joey Antipas’ side to victory and into the last 16.

Meanwhile, Stars are coming into this Cup game having lost 1-0 to Ugandan club Vipers in the CAF Confederation Cup clash over the weekend.

However, Dikwena have recorded three consecutive victories in the Absa Premiership since losing to Mamelodi Sundowns at home three weeks ago.

Stars recorded a convincing 2-0 victory over Lamontville Golden Arrows in their last league encounter which was played in Rustenburg a week ago.

Tintswalo Tshabalala fired into the lead in the first-half for Dikwena, while Bonginkosi Ntuli sealed the home side’s victory in the late stages of the game.

Dikwena midfielder Robert Ng’ambi remains a key player for the team in attack. The player will be hoping to help Cavin Johnson’s side win on Wednesday.
