Usuthu eye third consecutive win against Stellies

AmaZulu FC are set to host Stellenbosch FC in an Absa Premiership match at the Princess Magogo Stadium on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 19h30.

AmaZulu claimed a second victory on the bounce when they edged Baroka FC 1-0 away on October 27, with a goal from Bonginkosi Ntuli.

Usuthu have taken four points from as many home matches in this season.

Stellenbosch claimed a second successive league win – and their biggest scalp to date – when they defeated Orlando Pirates 1-0 at home on October 26, with a goal from Iqraam Rayners.

Stellies has claimed five points from six away matches this season.

In head-to-head terms, this will be the first top-flight meeting of AmaZulu and Stellenbosch.

However, when the latter team was still known as Vasco Da Gama, the clubs met in two league games in the PSL in 2010/11, as well as four second-tier clashes in 2016 and 2017.

Usuthu claimed three wins compared to two for their opponents, with one game drawn.
