AmaZulu will lock horns with Platinum Stars in an Absa Premiership match at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 20h15.
Usuthu returned to winning ways in the league when they thrashed Bidvest Wits 3-0 at home on Wednesday.
Michael Morton opened the scoring in the first-half for Usuthu, before Rhulani Manzini grabbed a second-half brace for the hosts.
Prior to facing the defending champions, Usuthu had lost 4-1 to Lamontville Golden Arrows in a league match last weekend.
AmaZulu are now placed seventh on the league standings with seven points from five matches. They are four points behind log leaders Arrows.
Morton is set to miss Usuthu’s clash with Dikwena as the central defensive midfielder was sent off against Wits.
Cavin Johnson, the AmaZulu head coach, will be looking to mastermind a win over his former side, Stars, in order to keep Usuthu in the top eight.
Meanwhile, Stars remain winless in the league this season after losing 1-0 to Arrows at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Wednesday.
This was Dikwena’s fourth defeat out of five league matches this season, while the other game ended in a draw.
Before taking on Arrows, the North West side had held Chippa United to a goalless stalemate in a league game last weekend.
Stars are placed 16th on the league standings with one point from five matches. They are three points behind 12th-placed Ajax Cape Town.
Roger De Sa, the newly appointed Dikwena head coach, will be looking to ensure that his side overcome Usuthu and record their first win.
The last time AmaZulu and Stars clashed in an Absa Premiership match was on 29 April 2015 at the Princess Magogo Stadium.
The encounter ended in a goalless stalemate with current Usuthu captain Tapelo Nyongo playing the entire match.Share
