Usuthu eye second successive league win

AmaZulu FC will be away to Baroka FC in an Absa Premiership match at the Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday.

Kick-off is at 15h30.

Baroka suffered a third straight defeat when they were beaten 1-0 at Maritzburg United on Wednesday, October 2.

Bakgaga have yet to win at home this season, recording two draws and two defeats from four games as hosts.

AmaZulu claimed their first win of the league season back on October 1, with Bonginkosi Ntuli scoring two goals – including a last-gasp strike – to seal a 2-1 home victory over Cape Town City at Princess Magogo Stadium.

Usuthu, though, have picked up just one point from three away matches in 2019/20.

In head-to-head stats, Baroka and AmaZulu have met in four league matches since 2017/18.

Bakgaga have claimed two wins compared to one for Usuthu, while one game has been drawn. The Limpopo side has won both of their two home matches in the rivalry.

Last season AmaZulu won their home game at King Zwelithini Stadium in August 2018 1-0 (with a goal from Siyethemba Sithebe) while the return game at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium in April 2019 went the way of Baroka 1-0 (with a goal from Tshediso Patjie).
