Namibian international Tangeni Shipahu has parted ways with the KZN club after the AmaZulu technical team indicated that the player would not be part of their plans for the upcoming 2012/13 season.
AmaZulu General Manager confirmed the player’s release: “The coach had already told us that Tangeni wasn’t part of his plans for the upcoming season.
He has been officially released from the club, has been signed by Osotsapa FC of Thailand after training with them for a week.
We wish the player well in his new team in Thailand,” said O’Connor.
The 24 year old who joined Usuthu in the 2010/11 season from Namibian club Tigers FC says he will cherish his time spent in Durban.
“Well obviously I will miss South Africa, it felt like home when I was there. I will miss AmaZulu very much, the players, management and definitely the supporters.
I learned a lot from AmaZulu and I will cherish the time I had with them, the little ups and downs don’t matter.
I wish them a wonderful season ahead and hopefully when they win the league and cups I can or will also receive a medal,” said Shipahu.
Shipahu joined Osotsapa FC on a free transfer.
