Supporter structures and behaviour discussed at Usuthu Mass Meeting

The club held a successful gathering with its supporters at King Zwelithini Stadium prior to its Absa Premiership fixture against Orlando Pirates on 15 April 2018 morning where ways to enhance Usuthu’s fan base were discussed.

AmaZulu FC General Manager, Lunga Sokhela addressed the Usuthu faithful alongside Qedi Dlamini who doubles up as Team Manager and Supporters Coordinator at the KZN club.

Dlamini had this to say after the meeting: “More importantly an interim structure to facilitate communication and Supporters was chosen.

“The 6-member structure has been tasked with coming up with ways to rebuild supporter structures and programmes going into the preseason.”

“They’ll also be key people in the amendment of the constitution as well as form part of the disciplinary committee,” said Dlamini.

According to Dlamini supporters have been tasked with planning of a supporters visit to the Royal House to pay homage to King Goodwill Zwelithini.

The meeting was well represented with fans coming from all over the province. The Gauteng based supporters committee also attended the meeting.

Ways to galvanise support for the remaining league matches as well plans for the upcoming season were revealed by the General Manager to resounding applause.

  1. Usuthu played very well during the match against Orlando Pirates yesterday. In fact they were supposed to wrap up and consolidate the win by half time. They must keep it up like that. Our strikers must be more clinical in terms of scoring goals. I am a proud supporter of Usuthu since the young age to date. Now we need to run away from relegation zone by winning at least one match.

    Iam an old Amazulu Fc Fan from Msizini grounds, but at the moment we need players who can create scoring chances like The late Chippa Khoza, and player like Mnguni . Its not easy to get those type of players but we better groom them ourself. If we got weak soccer academy we wont succeed to get those quality players. In goals we havent got quality keeper like the late Shadrack Biemba please bring us Tade and release Abraw because we need Goals. From mr. Sibisi.
