AmaZulu FC midfielder Jabulani Ncobeni says they are looking forward to facing Maritzburg United in the KwaZulu-Natal Derby on Friday.
The Team of Choice will host Usuthu in an Absa Premiership match which is scheduled to be played at the Harry Gwala Stadium in Pietermaritzburg.
Usuthu are currently enjoying a six-match unbeaten run in all competitions having recorded two draws and four wins.
“Well, the team spirit is very high in the camp at the moment,” Ncobeni told AmaZuluFC.net
“We defeated our rivals Lamontville Golden Arrows, before winning our Nedbank Cup Last 32 match against Mthatha Bucks.
Ncobeni, who joined AmaZulu from Thanda Royal Zulu prior to the start of the current campaign, has made 11 appearances in the league for Usuthu.
“We are all motivated because we are undefeated in our last five league games and we are also playing some good football,” the winger said.
“We moved further away from the relegation zone and we are now in the top eight on the league standings.
“The coach (Cavin Johnson) has been doing a great job hence the team is doing well again. We are now looking forward to facing Maritzburg,” the 25-year-old added.
“It will be another KwaZulu-Natal Derby and we want to do win the match, and grab the bragging rights.”
Kick-off between Maritzburg and AmaZulu is at 20h00.Share
