AmaZulu FC general manager Lunga Sokhela says the team is hyped up ahead of their clash with Orlando Pirates.
Usuthu are scheduled to host the Buccaneers in an Absa Premiership match at the King Zwelithini Stadium on Sunday.
“When you think of fixtures, there is none bigger than this one. AmaZulu versus Orlando Pirates is one of those special fixtures on the PSL calendar,” Sokhela said.
“It is one of those games we want to win. It is one of those fixtures that everyone in Durban is raring for. These are two of the oldest and greatest clubs in the PSL.
The last meeting between Usuthu and Bucs ended in a 1-1 stalemate at the Orlando Stadium in a first round league encounter in December 2017.
Pirates defender Ntsikelelo Nyauza scored an own goal to make it 1-0 to AmaZulu, before netting again to level matters for the hosts.
“People will be coming from all corners of the country to Durban, at the King Zwelithini Stadium on 15 April at 15h00 to witness a clash of giants,” he continued.
“Two clubs with great history and great rivalry between them. The city is hyped up and the two clubs are also hyped up.
“It is a must see and this is a historical clash – AmaZulu FC versus Orlando Pirates.”Share
